New Energy Equity is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to serve as the regional technical authority, performing maintenance, commissioning, and safety oversight on solar PV sites around Trenton, NJ. The role requires a NJ electrical license and extensive field experience in solar or related electrical work.

The position is on-site, with driving between sites, and offers a competitive $100,000–$125,000 salary plus benefits, including a company truck, 401(k) match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey electrical license for the scope of work.
• 5+ years of senior-level field experience in solar PV, commercial/industrial electrical, utility or generation.
• Demonstrated medium-voltage experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and redline electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of operational excellence across the region and lead field safety.
• Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance for solar PV systems and manage permitting.
• Mentor field technicians and supervise work across the region; manage vendor relationships.
• Document faults, site deficiencies, and track time, materials, and travel in the CMMS.
