Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) to perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities nationwide. The role emphasizes safety, independence, and hands-on work with PV systems, testing equipment, and documenting activities.

You will work with minimal supervision, support on-call coverage, and collaborate with other technicians to ensure reliable solar infrastructure operations and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; trade/technical training a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and ensure safe practices on site.
• Perform solar equipment testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using monitoring software and field tests.
• Accurately record time and material costs for all jobs.
• Complete on-site documentation and reports of work performed.
• Provide on-call service at assigned solar facilities.
• Supervise and train Solar Technician Level I personnel as needed.
• Operate company vehicle and maintain safety records.
