Job summary

Sunrun Inc. is seeking a Field Performance Technician 3 in Houston, TX to perform advanced troubleshooting and complex service diagnoses. This role also trains and develops other field staff and requires a valid Journeyman License or equivalent.

You will work with foremen and branch leadership to optimize labor, lead safety-focused field visits, and ensure high-quality installations and inspections while advancing solar projects across the service area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field construction experience.
• At least 1 year of service technician experience in solar.
• High School diploma required; PV design knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, lead, and maintain warranty and service schedule.
• Allocate labor resources for service and warranty projects.
• Assist training for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians.
• Lead meetings to train the local field service team on best practices.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Meet/exceed field performance KPIs like turnaround time and dispatches.
