Job summary

Pearce Services in McCamey, Texas is seeking an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform O&M tasks at solar sites near McCamey, within 50 miles, focusing on safe operation and timely maintenance.

You’ll work on solar inverters, trackers, and substations, with hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, documentation, and adherence to PPE and LOTO rules. Travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in commercial/industrial O&M on solar power plants.
• Experience with inverters, tracker systems or sub-stations equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work solo or in a group.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Documentation including work orders, time logs, inventory control, and schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components with digital meters, megger, amp clamps and similar tools.
• Test solar equipment and ensure proper working order.
• Uphold safety standards including LOTO and JHA.
• Work in both solo and team environments.
