Job summary

Pearce Renewables is seeking an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform hands-on duties at solar plants near Cantua Creek, California. You will operate and maintain solar systems, ensure safety, and support site teams while meeting preventative and corrective maintenance standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in commercial/industrial O&M for solar facilities, solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and are willing to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills.
• Candidates should possess ability to train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices.
• Travel up to 25% may be required, and safety knowledge with LOTO/JHA is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Documentation including work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using digital multimeters, megger, and amp clamps.
• Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain a strong safety focus with LOTO/JHA procedures and OSHA standards.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and collaborate in team environments.
