Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to support solar sites near New York, NY. You will handle O&M tasks ensuring safety and reliability of solar power plants within designated local sites.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and teamwork, with travel up to 25% and a requirement to reside within ~50 miles of New York. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Commercial/Industrial O&M experience on solar power plants.
• Experience with Solar Utility equipment preventative maintenance preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components with meters, megger, amps clamps and similar tools.
• Test solar equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain a strong safety background with LOTO and JHA experience.
• Work effectively solo or in a team environment.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle per policy.
