Job summary

Pearce Renewables is seeking an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform O&M at solar sites near New Brunswick, New Jersey, within 50 miles of the area. The role involves hands-on maintenance and safety-focused work at local sites.

Core duties include preventive and corrective maintenance, meticulous documentation, troubleshooting with meters, and adherence to LOTO/JHA. Occasional travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar plants.
• Experience with Solar inverters, trackers, and sub-stations equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to train, mentor laborers into apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory, and emergency schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using meters and testing tools.
• Test solar equipment and verify proper operation.
• Maintain safety with LOTO and JHA procedures.
• Work solo or in a group environment.
• Operate company vehicle safely and legally.
