Job summary

Pearce Renewables seeks an Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) to perform preventative and corrective maintenance at solar sites near New Brunswick, NJ. You will troubleshoot electrical components, document work orders, and operate safety procedures including LOTO.

Candidates should have 2+ years of O&M experience on solar plants, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and be able to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Solar inverters, tracker systems, or substations preferred.
• Good safety practices including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Ability to work solo or in a team and train others.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory, and schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using meters and testing tools.
• Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Operate vehicle safely and comply with safety policies.
