Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our renewables team in Middleton, WI. The role focuses on leading electrical design for commercial and utility-scale solar projects and serving as the primary electrical contact for clients.

You will manage budgets, supervise engineers, and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely deliverables and compliance with NEC/NESC.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Engineering required.
• Knowledge of NEC and NESC.
• Experience with electrical distribution, generation, and/or construction.
• Proficiency reading construction drawings and specs.
• Experience managing budgets and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical engineering of solar projects within budgets.
• Coordinate change orders with project managers.
• Ensure schedules for electrical engineering deliverables.
• Assist in responding to RFPs with scope and fees.
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, and survey teams.
• Prepare construction documents and lead electrical design.
• Oversee staff performing calculations and studies.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, and code officers.
• Perform QA/QC on design work.
• Mentor engineers and technicians.
