Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking a Construction Manager to lead utility-scale solar and battery storage construction projects in New York. You will oversee on-site teams, coordinate with EPCs, landowners, regulators, and internal groups to ensure safety, schedule, and quality are maintained from start to finish.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of onsite solar construction management, OSHA 30, and a BS degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of onsite utility-scale solar, battery storage, and/or substation construction management.
• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred (not required).
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction management for solar and BESS projects to meet schedule, budget and quality goals.
• Coordinate with EPCs, landowners, DEQ/AHJ, and internal teams to ensure clear communications and compliance.
• Manage and verify time records for on-site contract personnel (QC/Safety/Commissioning).
• Review and sign off on milestones, change orders, and project documentation with PM oversight.
• Conduct daily safety walks and drive continuous improvement in safety and QA/QC processes.
