Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site delivery of a utility-scale solar and energy storage project in Kansas. You will supervise EPC contractors, drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence while ensuring adherence to budget and project requirements.

This field-based leadership role offers exposure to critical renewable infrastructure and rapid progress on the energy transition.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of onsite utility-scale solar, storage, or related construction management.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
• Willingness to travel and be on site 5 days a week.
• Strong QA/QC and change-order governance.
• Excellent communication with EPCs, landowners, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC contractors and on-site construction activities.
• Enforce safety and quality practices across the project.
• Manage project schedule, budget, and scope with the PM team.
• Coordinate with DEQ/AHJ/EPC on environmental and permitting matters.
• Lead landowner communications and maintain transparent updates.
• Review invoices, change orders, and prepare project closeout documentation.
