Job summary

AES is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery storage project development across the US and internationally, expanding our owner-operated renewable portfolio.

You will model energy production, perform technical due diligence, and help respond to utility and municipal RFPs, collaborating with Business Development, Execution, and Finance teams. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent field.
• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, design, analysis and construction.
• Proficiency with PVSYST, HOMER, SAM, Helioscope and Plant Predict.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Energy production modeling for projects in development (PVSYST, Helioscope, Plant Predict).
• Battery dispatch modeling and site evaluation for project suitability.
• Create preliminary plant designs and site layouts (single lines).
• Support for RFPs and technical deliverables, coordinating with consultants.
