Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer for a 100% remote role focusing on Veterans Affairs (VA) projects. The position requires strong programming skills (C#, Java, Python), a track record of complex software testing, and experience with automation and CI/CD.

A Public Trust (MBI) clearance is required for this federal opportunity. As a full-time remote employee, you will develop test plans, write tests, maintain test scripts, and report results.

Formación

• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
• Proven track record on complex software projects and high-quality deliverables.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC understanding.
• Proficiency in writing/executing test cases, scripts, and plans.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with version control (Git, Subversion).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Testing web apps, APIs, and services; security testing basics.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop test schedules and approaches; create daily test metrics.
• Write test cases/scripts and identify data for scenarios.
• Lead tests and IT systems verification for defects and quality.
• Document and communicate test results; support issue resolution.
• Mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure timely delivery of tested products.
• Participate in test reviews and improve testing procedures.
• Perform additional IT systems engineering tasks as needed.
