Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to design and execute comprehensive test strategies for IT systems and services. This remote role requires strong programming, test automation, and QA leadership to ensure high-quality deliverables across complex projects.

You will develop test plans, create scripts, and coordinate with test managers, developers, and project teams to validate performance and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Experience with manual and automated testing across complex IT systems.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to write and execute test cases, scripts, and data for tests.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure information systems meet requirements.
• Develop test schedules and approaches.
• Write test cases and data for scenarios.
• Lead and perform tests on IT systems to ensure defect-free operation.
• Document, communicate, and analyze test results; support issue resolution.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting.
