Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior Software-focused Systems Engineer to support acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time on-site role requires proximity to the NAVAIR base at Pax River, MD and a current ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential Top Secret.

The role emphasizes MBSE, Agile/SAFe processes, and coordination with cybersecurity and vendor teams to ensure robust software and system integration across programs.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• ACTIVE Secret clearance; Top Secret may be required after start.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration; analyze defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity SMEs; participate in SE technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop IGCEs; support evaluations of contractor proposals.
