Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. seeks a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Patux River, MD.
An active Secret Clearance is required, with potential to obtain Top Secret after start. Ten years of software/systems engineering experience, and familiarity with military avionics, are preferred.
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
