Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager (Level 3) in San Diego, CA to lead a large department within the NIC Division. The role requires a Secret clearance and will be onsite, overseeing multi-disciplinary teams across software, hardware, and systems engineering.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and a proven track record in software development, integration, and mentoring, with experience across IRAD initiatives.

Qualifications

Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance, current and within scope.
7+ years of experience in technical team leadership.
Experience leading software teams, programs and senior staff.
Experience with software integration and testing lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Functional oversight of a department of multidiscipline engineers across programs.
Directly lead front-line managers and manage staffing and workforce planning.
Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees and mentoring staff.
Develop and execute multi-discipline training plans for software/hardware/systems.
Ensure adherence to engineering processes and maintain technical quality.
