Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in San Diego, CA to lead a group of 10–15 application software engineers within the CNS business unit. You will coordinate staffing, performance reviews, salaries, and career advancement while delivering on program goals.

You will also contribute technically, spending about 80% of your time on programs, and drive engineering excellence by updating processes, mentoring staff, and promoting an inclusive workplace with a strong focus on

Qualifications

BS + 5 years of exp in related STEM field; MS + 3 years of exp.
Candidate must have excellent written, communication, and emotional intelligence skills, and be able to work independently and within groups.
Ability to facilitate/mediate in conflict resolution matters.
Proficiency in software development, Object Oriented programming, and software lifecycle processes.
Familiarity with other engineering disciplines including manufacturing, test, systems, quality, and electrical.
Must have an active Secret Clearance.
Candidate must be able to work on site at the facility.

Responsibilities

Lead a section of approximately 10-15 application software engineers.
Coordinate with programs for staffing, recruiting, training, delivering performance reviews, and promotions.
Evaluate salaries and coordinate with Human Resources on adjustments.
Assist employees in preparing performance goals and provide career guidance.
Support the creation, updating, and maintenance of software engineering processes.
