Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead the Specialty Pharmacy tech teams, shaping multi-year modernization and value stream strategies across geographies. You will mentor engineers, drive operational efficiency, partner with business and product leaders, and deliver scalable software releases while maintaining high quality and security.

This role requires strong people leadership, agile practices, and experience with microservices, cloud, and AI tools,

Qualifications

7+ years of software development experience with Agile
5+ years building microservices (Python, Java Spring Boot)
3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote teams
3+ years containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
2+ years cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
1+ years AI/generative AI frameworks in web services

Responsibilities

Lead the design, foundational framework and development of Specialty pharmacy products and technology assets
Assess software engineering practices, driving continuous improvement and time-to-market
Lead engineering teams across multiple locations and guide career growth
Hire, coach, and manage performance, setting measurable goals
Build partnerships with Business, Product and Tech to support the delivery roadmap
Collaborate with vendors to staff onshore/nearshore/offshore teams
Conduct technology research to develop long-term strategy in healthcare/tech
Travel up to 10% within the United States as needed
