Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB, OK. You will develop software strategies for weapon systems, translate requirements into system specs, and audit contractor software deliveries to ensure quality and interoperability.

The role requires hands-on software development, SAP/SCI experience, and a strong background in DoD cybersecurity considerations within a SAP/SCI environment. Travel up to 10% CONUS may be required.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI and SAP access and background investigation within 5 years or under Continuous Vetting.
• Masters Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 10+ years DoD/government/contractor experience OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years DoD/government/contractor experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies to acquire, develop, and sustain software for weapon systems and related equipment.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements to design, develop, test, and evaluate software for computer systems and subsystems.
• Conduct assessments of DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment.
• Analyze software performance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Audit DoD contractors for software configuration and control and verify quality accreditation.
• Evaluate contractor design changes and perform systems analyses and trade-off studies.
• Review system design software architecture and interoperability requirements.
• Evaluate test plans and participate in system/subsystem/component testing and data analysis.
• Support development/review of program and contract documentation; conduct technical evaluations of proposals.
