Robinhood is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in New York/Menlo Park/Toronto to design and build core systems that issue, custody, and settle tokenized equities on-chain. You will lead complex projects end-to-end, ensuring correctness across multiple chains and traditional ledger systems.

You will work in a hybrid setup with in-person collaboration and contribute to the platform's growth, reliability, and security in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Backend development with Go, Python, or Java and cloud-native architecture.
• Strong correctness-focused mindset for money-related systems.
• Proven ownership of cross-functional projects and ability to mentor others.
• Working knowledge of blockchain fundamentals like EVM and wallets.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services for tokenized equities across blockchains.
• Own large technically complex projects end-to-end, with 24/7 operational responsibility.
• Bridge traditional market infrastructure with on-chain systems and smart contracts.
• Collaborate with product/compliance/legal to translate constraints into system design.
• Provide design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on mentorship.
