Robinhood is building tokenized equities on-chain and delivering core systems for issuing, custody, and settlement across multiple blockchains. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead end-to-end projects, make architectural decisions, and work in a domain where correctness is non‑negotiable and customer assets move continually.

The role is hybrid with offices in Menlo Park, Toronto or New York, requiring in-person presence at least 3 days per week, and you will collaborate across product,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Backend development with Go, Python, or Java and cloud-native architecture
• Idempotency, reconciliation, and failure-mode reasoning in money-sensitive systems
• Ownership of ambiguous cross-functional projects and ability to drive alignment
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
• Working knowledge of blockchain fundamentals or strong appetite to learn quickly

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services that mint, custody, and settle tokenized equities across blockchains
• Own large, technically complex projects end to end, from design to rollout to operation
• Build connections between traditional market infrastructure and on-chain systems, including smart contracts, chain indexers, and DEX flows
• Collaborate with product, compliance, legal, and platform teams to translate regulatory constraints into system design
• Raise technical bar through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on mentorship
