Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Tokenization team to design and build core systems that issue, custody, and settle tokenized equities on-chain, aligning with traditional brokerage and ledger systems.

This role requires 5+ years of distributed systems experience, backend skills (Go/Python/Java), cloud-native architecture, and a strong ownership mindset, with in-person attendance at Menlo Park, Toronto, or New York offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems.
• Backend development experience in Go, Python, or Java with cloud-native architecture.
• Strong correctness-focused mindset for money-sensitive systems.
• Proven ownership of cross-functional projects and technical direction.
• Mentoring engineers and guiding teams beyond your own work.
• Working knowledge of blockchain fundamentals (EVM, wallets, on-chain settlement).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services that mint, custody, and settle tokenized equities across blockchains.
• Own large, technically complex projects end to end, including design and rollout.
• Bridge traditional market infrastructure with on-chain systems and smart contracts.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, legal, and platform teams on design constraints.
• Raise the technical bar through reviews and hands-on mentorship.
