Job summary

JPMorganChase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III in San Francisco to design and deliver scalable IT Service Management solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will contribute to secure production code, implement AI-assisted development, and collaborate in an agile team to meet business objectives.

You will work across the SDLC, produce architecture artifacts, and help improve system reliability and security through coding best practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on ServiceNow platform implementation experience.
• Experience in Java/PHP/Python programming language.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices - scripting, configuration, tool navigation, custom widgets - with excellent analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Practical experience across system design, application development, testing and operational stability in a large corporate environment.
• Strong grounding in agile delivery, CI/CD, application resiliency and security.
• Demonstrated knowledge of a technical discipline such as cloud, AI/ML or mobile.
• Extensive knowledge of best practices developing in the ServiceNow platform or proven ability to learn a new platform quickly with excellent analytical, debugging and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve automation value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications with design constraints.
• Contributes to communities of practice and events exploring new technologies.
• Gathers, analyzes, visualizes data, and develops dashboards for continuous improvement.
• Follow and enhance scrum practices for process improvement.
