Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Principal Software Engineer to drive design and development of real-time C2 software systems at our Fulton, MD facility. The role emphasizes Java, C++, Angular, GraphQL, REST, and modern tooling in an active Agile environment.

The onsite position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, customer engagement, and occasional travel for demos and integration activities.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment.
• Develop innovative new features for a real-time situational awareness C2 system.
• Collaborate with team members to design, architect and implement software solutions.
• Engage with customers and internal/external stakeholders to ensure delivery success.
• Travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support.
