Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong .NET (C#) background and PHP/Laravel experience. This role focuses on backend services for a mature SaaS platform, with opportunities to work across both .NET and PHP stacks.

You will design, develop, and maintain APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers in an Agile environment. The position supports remote work within the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with .NET (C#).
• Hands-on PHP/Laravel development experience.
• Experience with React (preferred) or Angular.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Ability to balance technical debt with business priorities.
• Comfortable working independently in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in a SaaS environment.
• Build features primarily using .NET (C#) while supporting PHP/Laravel applications.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and business logic.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering to deliver new functionality.
• Review requirements and translate specifications into production-quality code.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and improve engineering processes.
