Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong .NET (C#) and PHP/Laravel experience to design, develop, and maintain backend services for a mature SaaS platform. This is a 100% remote role within the United States, offering exposure to scalable architectures and RESTful APIs.

You will collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver new functionality, mentor junior developers, and help drive engineering best practices while balancing technical debt with business priorities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with .NET (C#).
• Hands-on experience with PHP/Laravel.
• Experience with React or Angular.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Ability to balance technical debt with business priorities.
• Comfortable working independently in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in a SaaS environment.
• Build features primarily in .NET (C#) while supporting PHP/Laravel applications.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and business logic.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver new functionality.
• Review requirements and translate specifications into production-quality code.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and promote engineering best practices.
