You’ll mentor teammates, uphold security and testing standards, and help translate legacy systems into bounded modern services while collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or Java/Spring Boot with TS interest.
• Strong relational DB skills with PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORM usage.
• Frontend experience with React/Next.js and SSR/ISR.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Solid testing and CI/CD practices; observability important.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services in NestJS/TypeScript and frontend features in Next.js.
• Replace legacy PHP monolith with modern services.
• Apply security, testing, documentation, and monitoring best practices.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS using Docker and CDK/Terraform.
• Review and mentor teammates; drive end-to-end features.
• Onboard new engineers and participate in on-call improvements.
