Job summary

Collectors Universe, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to own complex grading and authentication projects. You will build backend services, APIs, and data models powering the grading lifecycle across containerized and serverless architectures.

You will mentor engineers, design cross-team solutions, and contribute to frontend work with Vue.js and JavaScript. The role emphasizes high-volume data systems and AI tooling in a modern cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building production applications.
• Strong backend focus with some frontend delivery.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Ability to mentor engineers and improve team design.
• Experience with AI tooling in design/build processes.

Responsibilities

• Own complex projects across multiple teams from sketch to production.
• Build backend services, APIs, and data models powering grading apps.
• Evaluate architectures from containerized .NET to serverless APIs.
• Design event-driven and asynchronous systems for high-volume data.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and code reviews.
• Contribute to frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Vue.js.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech, and Operations to translate requirements.
• Troubleshoot data, integration, service, and UI issues in a long-lived codebase.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Write design documents and technical decisions.
