Job summary

Weights & Biases, now part of CoreWeave, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for ML Workflows to own architecture and evolution of core platform systems. You will touch Go backend services, the Python SDK, and the TypeScript frontend, collaborating with product managers, designers, and ML platform engineers to deliver reliable, scalable systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural improvements, and help shape products used by enterprise ML teams across the stack.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership of significant technical initiatives or architectural changes.
• Strong proficiency in Go, or in another compiled language with the ability to ramp on Go quickly.
• Working proficiency in Python.
• Comfort diagnosing and fixing complex bugs across service boundaries.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar.
• Strong communication and ability to explain complex technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of a core platform area designed to scale to billions of artifacts and high-volume throughput.
• Dive into system architecture to optimize, fix complex bugs, and balance short-term delivery with long-term health.
• Work across the stack—from Go backend services and GraphQL APIs to the Python SDK and TypeScript frontend.
• Lead migrations and re-architecture of systems carrying live customer traffic while maintaining seamless experience.
• Identify and refactor technical debt to improve maintainability and productivity.
• Establish engineering patterns and best practices for a growing platform.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate complex requirements into clean implementations.
• Engage with customers to understand ML workflow challenges and feed back into the product cycle.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.
