Job summary

Weights & Biases, now part of CoreWeave, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own core platform architecture across Go, Python, and TypeScript. You’ll lead end-to-end design, collaborate with product and ML teams, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable ML workflow tools.

You will work with backend services, a Python SDK, and a frontend to enable enterprise ML pipelines, storage, and data governance in a rapidly evolving platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership of major technical initiatives or architecture changes.
• Strong proficiency in Go, or another compiled language with the ability to ramp on Go quickly.
• Working proficiency in Python.
• Comfort diagnosing complex systems across service boundaries.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar.
• Strong communication and the ability to explain complex decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of a core platform area at scale.
• Dive into system architecture to optimize, debug, and balance short-term delivery with long-term health.
• Work across Go backends, GraphQL APIs, Python SDK, and TypeScript frontend.
• Lead migrations and re-architecture of systems carrying live customer traffic.
• Refactor technical debt to improve maintainability and productivity.
• Establish engineering patterns and best practices as the platform grows.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate complex requirements into technical implementations.
• Engage with customers to understand ML workflow challenges and feed insights into the product cycle.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.
