Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Military Avionics Flight Management. You will work in an AGILE, cross-functional team to design, develop, and test FMS features integrated into aircraft systems.

The role requires 4+ years in software with C/C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python, plus a STEM degree. Domestic/international travel up to 10% may be required; relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years.
• 4+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 4+ years of experience in a Software role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test flight management software features for military helicopters and planes.
• Collaborate with Systems and Software engineers to integrate Flight Management Systems and related modules.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% as needed.
