First Citizens Bank is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to join the Corporate Credit Card delivery team. The role is remote but hireable in AZ, FL, GA, NC and TX, focusing on design, development and integration of enterprise-grade credit card platforms.

The ideal candidate brings Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservice experience, plus leadership and mentoring capabilities within a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong experience designing or modifying modern microservice based systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Java 11+ and REST/APIs.
• Spring and Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical solutions for functionality, performance and reliability.
• Lead multiple tech leads overseeing SCRUM teams within the domain.
• Drive domain-wide change initiatives to improve quality, speed and throughput.
• Oversee maintenance of IaaS/SaaS and on-prem applications to ensure stability and scalability.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of defects and data/configuration issues.
• Support business-critical/complex applications and promote best practices.
• Develop real-time and file-based integrations, optimize DB processing.
• Mentor developers and foster a strong developer experience.
