Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to join our Corporate Credit Card delivery team in a remote role. You will design, develop and maintain large enterprise systems, lead tech leads, coach developers and collaborate with product owners to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has Java 11+, microservice design experience, and a track record of delivering in large organizations. Banking experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience.
Advanced knowledge of Java 11+ and REST APIs.
Experience with Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with unit testing and mocking frameworks.
Strong Agile/Scrum experience and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop technical solutions for scalable, reliable systems.
Lead multiple tech leads and provide coaching within SCRUM teams.
Drive domain-wide change initiatives to improve quality and throughput.
Maintain and support critical apps across Digital, Cards, Risk, and Merchant Services.
Troubleshoot defects and data/configuration issues to root cause.
