Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Corporate Credit Card delivery team in a remote role. You will design and deliver enterprise-grade software in a large bank environment, focusing on scalability, reliability, and integration with payment systems.

You will lead tech leads across SCRUM teams, mentor senior developers, and collaborate with product owners and external teams to deliver robust, well-documented code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience designing or modifying modern microservice-based systems.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Java 11+.
• Advanced knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot.
• REST APIs, unit testing and mocking frameworks.
• Git, Postman, Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Scrum and Agile experience.
• Wikis familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical solutions meeting user needs with performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead multiple tech leads overseeing SCRUM teams with coaching and escalation paths.
• Drive domain-wide change initiatives to improve quality, speed, and throughput.
• Maintain IaaS/SaaS and on-premise apps to ensure stability and scalability.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of defects, data errors, and configuration issues.
• Support business-critical/complex applications.
