Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Security EDR Workflows team. You will design and build workflows and user-facing capabilities to extend Elastic Defend and respond to security threats.

Collaboration with product, design, and other security teams is essential to deliver scalable, high-quality features. Expect to contribute to APIs, architecture, and OSquery-based forensics, while maintaining strong reliability and observability across the Elastic platform.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Typescript/Node.js and React.
• Ability to own problems end-to-end from clarifying requirements to production.
• Applied use of AI to accelerate development and problem solving.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Elastic Defend UI features.
• Build and evolve APIs for Elastic Defend data interactions.
• Contribute to the architecture of the management and response framework with OSquery forensics.
• Develop scalable, high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
• Own reliability, observability, and operational health from design to production.
• Write production-grade code in Typescript/Node.js, with quality tests.
• Collaborate with other Elastic teams on cross-team efforts.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes driven by AI.
• Participate in code reviews and design decisions; advocate best practices.
