Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Security EDR Workflows team. You will design and implement features powering Elastic Defend UI and APIs, contribute to the architecture of the management and response framework, and build high‑scale systems in a collaborative, AI‑driven environment.

You will own the reliability and performance of your features, participate in code reviews, and work with cross‑team stakeholders to deliver robust security workflows and forensics

Qualifications

• Strong experience with TypeScript/NodeJS and ReactJS.
• Ownership from requirements to production delivery and monitoring.
• Ability to leverage AI to accelerate development and problem solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features powering Elastic Defend UI capabilities.
• Build and evolve APIs for Elastic Defend data interactions.
• Contribute to architecture of Defend management and response frameworks, including OSquery forensics.
• Develop scalable, high-performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
• Own reliability, observability, and operational health from design to production.
• Write production-grade code in TypeScript/NodeJS (and potentially other languages).
• Collaborate with other Elastic engineering teams on cross-team initiatives.
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling and processes improvements driven by AI.
