Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Security EDR Workflows team. You will design and build workflows and user-facing capabilities that connect to the Elastic Defend agent, enabling protection and rapid response to threats across a global customer base.

You will contribute to API development, architecture, and high-scale systems, while embracing AI-assisted development, secure SDLC practices, and cross-team collaboration in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

> Proficient in TypeScript/Node.js and React.js.
> Ability to own problems end-to-end from design to production.
> Leverage AI to improve development outcomes.

> Strong communication across technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

> Design and implement features powering Elastic Defend UI capabilities.
> Build and evolve APIs enabling interaction with Elastic Defend data.
> Contribute to architecture of Defend management and OSquery forensics integration.
> Develop scalable, high-performance systems within Elastic.
> Ensure reliability, observability, and operational health of features.
> Write production-grade TypeScript/Node.js code in a well-tested codebase.
> Collaborate with other Elastic teams on cross-team efforts.
> Drive engineering process improvements using AI.
