Job summary

Coinbase is hiring Senior Software Engineers for the Developer Infrastructure group. You will design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, and test infrastructure to speed up deployments and improve reliability.

You will own services end to end, partner with multiple engineering teams, and mentor others while shaping the platform's technical direction in a remote-first, hybrid environment with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software with distributed systems fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar language.
• Strong ownership from design through production and reliability focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
• Improve engineering productivity metrics, including build/CI time, deploy speed, and test feedback quality.
• Own services end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate pain points into platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and drive them through production.
• Mentor engineers and help shape the platform's technical direction.
