Job summary

Peraton is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to join a product development team supporting large-scale compute clusters. You will analyze requirements, design and develop software, and ensure operations monitoring and performance.

The role requires JS/Java distributed systems work, Kubernetes, Docker, and open-source data tools. The position emphasizes on-site work at customer offices with limited telework options, and a strong focus on security clearance and disciplined engineering

Qualifications

Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required (Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree).
Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

Perform requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, Ops Monitoring, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
Provide guidance to junior programmer/analysts as required.
Develop solutions which integrate or extend COTS or GOTS products; review designs for technical accuracy.
