Job summary

Peraton is seeking a senior Cloud Software Engineer to join a product development team supporting agile design and development for systems on large-scale compute/storage clusters in a COOP environment.

The role requires strong experience in Java/C++, UNIX/Linux, and cloud-native architectures with emphasis on distributed systems, IaC, and CI/CD. Expect collaboration with senior engineers and ongoing deployment and monitoring activities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• 8+ years software development experience; higher degrees may substitute for experience.
• Experience Java/C++ in UNIX/Linux, distributed systems, multi-threading, and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis, software design, development, testing, and maintenance with independence.
• Guide junior and mid-level programmers; provide design reviews and task estimations.
• Develop software for UNIX/Linux environments using Java, C/C++, and cloud-based architectures.
• Participate in CI/CD, IaC, and Ops monitoring to ensure production readiness.
