Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support mission-critical analytics in a dynamic compute team. You will develop cloud-native Java solutions on a Kubernetes/Hadoop/Accumulo stack, building scalable distributed systems for huge data sets and national security applications.

You will join a multidisciplinary environment, balancing collaboration with independence while learning new tools and advancing the ATO automation under the RMF framework.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
• 8 years in software development/engineering with full lifecycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field highly desired and may convert to 2 years experience.
• Master's degree converts to 4 years experience.
• One or more of the following certifications: AWS Developer Associate; AWS DevOps Engineer Pro; CKAD; Elastic Certified Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud-native software solutions in Java within a Kubernetes/Hadoop/Accumulo ecosystem.
• Build and support scalable distributed systems processing large mission data.
• Tackle complex technical challenges affecting national security.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team with autonomy to drive projects.
• Learn new technologies in a fast-paced mission-driven environment.
• Assist in automating the ATO process using the Risk Management Framework.
