Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SMTS) to join the Commerce Cloud Visibility Team. You will own full life cycle software components for mission critical SaaS web applications, delivering high-quality solutions with a strong emphasis on observability and cloud deployment.

You will work with Java, Golang, and Python, deploy to cloud platforms, and contribute to CI/CD, API development, and distributed system observability. Strong collaboration and agile practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience using Java, Golang, and/or Python.
• Experience deploying production code to cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience designing and implementing observability solutions for distributed systems.
• Production experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD (Spinnaker, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Prior experience developing APIs or REST services.
• Experience with build tools (Helm, Terraform, Maven, Gradle).
• Core database skills including ability to execute and debug complex queries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on full life cycle software components for mission critical SaaS web applications.
• Support CI, unit tests, and functional automation.
• Lead the team in sub-component requirements and forecast effort.
• Deliver high-quality, stable deliverables with attention to detail.
• Collaborate across a multi-site, multi-cultural team; mentor and be mentored.
• Promote Scrum and Agile development processes.
