Job summary

Salesforce is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (SMTS) for the Commerce Cloud Visibility Team. You’ll own observability for the SaaS platform, including logs, metrics, events, alerts, traces, and cloud infrastructure.

You will deliver critical backend components, drive CI/CD, and mentor peers in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Strong Java/Golang/Python skills and SaaS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience in Java, Golang, or Python.
• Experience deploying production code to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Designing and implementing observability for distributed systems.
• Production deployments and operations on Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Spinnaker, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Experience developing APIs/REST services.
• Familiar with build tools (Helm, Terraform, Maven, Gradle).
• Core database skills (SQL/NOSQL) and complex queries.
• Ability to share knowledge via presentations and docs.
• Experience developing SaaS applications and Scrum in Agile env.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full life cycle software components for enterprise SaaS applications.
• Support CI, unit tests, and automation.
• Lead sub-component requirements and forecast effort.
• Ensure high-quality, stable deliverables and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate across multi-site, multi-cultural teams.
• Advocate Scrum and Agile processes.
