Job summary

enGen is seeking an experienced software engineer to join an agile team responsible for building scalable software applications across digital channels. You will take an enterprise-wide architectural view and drive the technical execution of products using the stack that best fits the platform.

The role covers the full software development life cycle—from idea generation and business analysis to technical design and coding, leveraging the latest technologies and design patterns.

Qualifications

• 5 years of designing, analyzing algorithms and data structures for scalable, highly available systems.
• 5 years in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica) and experience with two of the following: React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
• 5 years of understanding REST, HTTPS, JSON.
• 5 years with one or more general purpose languages (Java, Python, Django/Flask, C/C++, C#, JavaScript or Go).
• 5 years defining system architectures and evaluating trade-offs for long-term capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and write engineering specifications and code that meets standards; perform code reviews.
• Generate ideas, explore technical solutions, and ensure scalability and performance.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and complete required sprints.
• Drive story creation with DoD, acceptance criteria, and estimation; manage tasks in RTC/Jira.
