Job summary

enGen is seeking an experienced software engineer to join an agile team focused on building scalable enterprise software across digital channels. You will shape architecture and drive technical execution using the stack that best fits the platform.

The role requires hands-on coding, design, and collaboration across idea generation, business analysis, and development using modern design patterns and cloud services. A strong emphasis is placed on maintainable code and scalable performance.

Qualifications

5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in scalable, highly available systems.
5 years in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica).
Experience with two of: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
5 years of understanding REST, HTTPS, JSON.
5 years with languages including Java, Python, Django/Flask, C/C++, C#, JavaScript or Go.
5 years in defining system architectures and exploring trade-offs.

Responsibilities

Designing and creating engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
Writing code that adheres to coding standards and performing code reviews.
Generate ideas, explore and implement technical solutions to achieve features, monitor progress against plan.
Participate in all scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning and execution.
Create tasks for stories and update status in RTC or Jira, tracking progress.
Monitor production schedule and report issues to lead developers regularly.
Mentor other engineers as needed and support team growth.
Perform other duties as assigned.
