Job summary

enGen is seeking an experienced software engineer to join an agile team building scalable applications across digital channels. You will contribute to an enterprise-wide architectural view and oversee technical execution using the stack that best fits the platform.

Responsibilities include designing specifications, coding to standards, participating in scrum ceremonies, and mentoring peers. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality, maintainable software while driving architectural choices

Qualifications

• 5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in the building and deploying of scalable; highly available systems
• 5 years in at least one modern programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred), and experience with at least two of the following: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
• 5 years of understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON
• 5 years with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python (Django/Flask), C/C++, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go
• 5 years in defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs for optimizing short term execution while planning for long term technical capabilities

Responsibilities

• Design and write code that adheres to coding standards and create engineering specifications.
• Explore and implement technical solutions to achieve required features while monitoring progress against project plans.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning and execution of software applications.
• Drive story creation with DoD, acceptance criteria, estimation; manage tasks in RTC or Jira and update status.
• Monitor production schedules and report issues or blockers to lead developers.
• Mentor junior and intermediate software engineers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
