Job summary

enGen is seeking an experienced software engineer to join an agile team responsible for building scalable applications across digital channels. You will shape enterprise-wide architecture and drive technical execution using the stack that best fits the platform.

The role requires deep experience with multiple languages and modern frameworks, cloud services, and a strong drive for delivering high-quality software. Expect collaboration across the full SDLC and opportunities to mentor peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in scalable, highly available systems.
• 5 years in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred) and experience with two of: React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
• 5 years understanding of REST, HTTPS, JSON, and 5 years with general purpose languages like Java, Python, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design and write engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
• Develop code that adheres to coding standards and participate in code reviews.
• Generate ideas and implement technical solutions to achieve features, while ensuring scalability and performance.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, assist sprint planning, and complete sprints in development to final execution.
• Create and manage tasks in RTC or Jira, update status and assignments, and communicate blockers to the Scrum Master.
• Monitor progress against production schedule and report issues to lead developers regularly.
• Mentor junior and intermediate software engineers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
