Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer V to lead senior engineering efforts for DOJ/OJP OCIO initiatives. The role emphasizes designing, integrating, and sustaining complex software, APIs, and automation pipelines.

You will guide remediation, reduce tech debt, and enforce secure, scalable solutions across production environments. The position requires deep experience with APIs, CI/CD, cloud deployments, and collaboration with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Minimum six years of progressively responsible software engineering experience for enterprise apps.
Experience designing complex APIs, system integrations, and automated tests.
Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure software development.
Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, modernization, and deployment of complex software solutions for OJP digital products.
Perform root-cause analysis on production issues and implement durable fixes.
Design secure, modular APIs and data integrations to reduce tech debt.
Support API management, CI/CD, security scanning, and IaC practices.
Mentor engineers and drive DevSecOps practices across teams.
