Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer IV to design, implement, and sustain complex enterprise applications and APIs for DOJ/OJP/OCIO initiatives. You will lead API integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices across multiple teams, coordinating with security and network stakeholders.

The role emphasizes cloud-based capabilities, automated testing, and secure software development, with opportunities to mentor others and influence architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
• Experience designing and implementing complex application enhancements, APIs, integrations, and automated tests.
• Experience with Agile software development, DevSecOps, CI/CD, configuration management, and secure SDLC practices.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD/build/deployment platforms.
• Experience developing or supporting RESTful APIs and data integrations.
• Experience with cloud-hosted or containerized applications and automated deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, integrate, test, deploy, and sustain complex enterprise application components and APIs.
• Revise software to improve functionality, security, and performance while reducing defects.
• Lead technical analysis of enhancement requests, defects, and integration requirements.
• Design, implement, and publish APIs and data integrations using approved technologies (WSO2 API Manager).
• Configure and support API capabilities, lifecycle management, governance, and CI/CD tooling.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and security-scanning integration.
